The Purdue Boilermakers fired head football coach Darrell Hazell on Sunday, according to The Journal & Courier. The moves comes a day after a 49-35 loss to Iowa.

The loss made Purdue 3-3 and not a real competitive 3-3 in the Big Ten Conference. Hazell has not had any success as the head coach for the football team, only recording nine wins since taking over in 2013.

Hazell has been on the hot seat since the season started and it was only a matter of time before he was going to be fired.

Who could replace him for the 2017 season? The rumor is Les Miles. Read more about that here.
