The New York Giants somehow pulled out a win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The Giants had to come back time and time again to get the 27-23 victory.
It wouldn’t have happened unless Odell Beckham got hot — and he did whatever was necessary to help the Giants win this game, including setting a much-overlooked single-game record.
According to Pro Football Focus, Beckham had the most yards after catch totals this season and the most any receiver in the league in two years. Beckham caught eight balls for 222 yards and had two touchdown catches, including the game-winning 66-yard touchdown.
Of his 222 receiving yards, 127 of them were after the catch. It’s the most by any player in the league this season and the most since Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas had since Week 5 of the 2014 season.
Needless to say, Beckham is back. And so is Eli Manning. The Giants didn’t look good to start the game, but moving to 3-3 at this point of the season is incredibly important.
