The Tampa Bay Buccaneers waived tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins on Friday following his arrest for DUI. Seferian-Jenkins was arrested and charged with a DUI and a driver’s license violation Friday morning. “By the time we found out (about the arrest), we were into meetings this morning and we’ve been on the practice field,” Bucs coach Dirk Koetter said, per the Buccaneers team website. “(General manager) Jason (Licht) and I will be getting together this afternoon and whatever is going to happen will be forthcoming.”
Seferian-Jenkins had been the backup to Cameron Brate to start the season. He had fallen out of the Buccaneers’ good graces over the course of the offseaosn and was kicked out of a practice. Seferian-Jenkins tweeted about his departure.
