Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Tyler Goeddel was diagnosed with a concussion after being hit in the head by a pitch in the Phillies’ game Wednesday night against the Chicago White Sox, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. White Sox reliever Chris Beck was the one who beaned Goeddel. The Inquirer reported that Goeddel is expected to rejoin the Phillies at some point over the weekend, but he did enter the league’s concussion protocol. There’s also a chance he could be finished for the year. The 23-year-old is hitting .192/.258/.291 with four homers and 16 RBIs in 92 games.
