The Milwaukee Bucks made a trade Thursday, acquiring forward Michael Beasley from the Houston Rockets for guard Tyler Ennis, the team announced.

“We’re excited to add a player with Michael’s skill set to our team,” GM John Hammond said in a news release. “He’s someone that we’ve kept our eye on the last few seasons and we’re looking forward to watching him compete throughout training camp and the season.”

Beasley, who feels like he’s been in the NBA for forever, is only 27. He averaged 12.8 points and 4.9 rebounds in 20 games for Houston last year.

Milwaukee needed to make a trade to try to get a stop gap for when Khris Middleton returns. Middleton will be out at least six months recovering from a torn hamstring.
