The New England Patriots appear to be pushing quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to play Thursday night against the Houston Texans, according to the Boston Herald.
The Herald reported that the Patriots are pushing Garoppolo to be “as ready as possible,” despite suffering a shoulder injury Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. According to the paper, the Patriots are reminding Garoppolo that Tom Brady played through a similar injury in his career.
Garoppolo was diagnosed with a sprained AC joint. A far cry from the possible six-week absence that was reported initially when he went down. The Herald reported Tuesday that the injury could take a week or two to heal.
WEEI added Tuesday that Garoppolo skipped walkthroughs.
