Los Angeles Dodgers journeyman starter Rich Hill was deep into a perfect game Saturday night against the Miami Marlins.

Hill was facing Martin Prado in the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs. Prado unleashed a rope to left field, but none other than Yasiel Puig dove full extension to save the perfect game for Hill.

In the end, however, it didn’t matter. Hill was pulled the next inning for Joe Blanton with the perfect game still in tact and Blanton allowed a single to Jeff Francoeur to break up the whole thing.
