The New England Patriots could be at least one man down during its first game of the season against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

The Providence Journal reported Friday that tight end Rob Gronkowski was not on the team plane when the team left for Phoenix. Gronkowski has been battling a hamstring injury an was officially listed as questionable for Sunday.

It doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll miss the game, but it doesn’t really give the Patriots and interim starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo a big chance of overcoming the tough Cardinals defense.

For what its worth, the Journal reported Nate Solder and Jonathan Cooper missed the team plane too.
