The New York Jets released 2013 first-round pick cornerback Dee Milliner Saturday, according to multiple reports.

The Jets took Milliner with the No. 9 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. The Jets were on the way to building a very interesting secondary with the absence of Darrelle Revis and up and coming corner Kyle Wilson.

However, Milliner never fully came around in the Jets defense. He’s only played eight games in the last two seasons and played in 13 games in his rookie year. He’s only recorded three interceptions and 50 tackles over the course of his career with the Jets.

Now that Revis is back, he has a starting spot along with Buster Skrine. Marcus Williams, Justin Burris and Dexter McDougle are scheduled to ride the bench.
