The New York Yankees could end up trading both outfielder Carlos Beltran and closer Aroldis Chapman if the teams does not improve by the trade deadline, according to Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.

The Yankees are 44-45 this season and Beltran and Chapman are both in the last year of their contracts. A trade would make sense, given how intense the division race is going to be and New York looking like the fourth best team in the AL East.

Chapman has been brought up all season in trade rumors and it does seem like as the trade deadline nears that he will get traded.

This is the first time Beltran has been brought up in rumors. It’ll be interesting to see what value he could have because he is 39-years-old.
