Durant is obviously the biggest fish on the free agent market this season. He has met with five teams so far this weekend – the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers – and has one additional meeting with the Miami Heat coming Sunday.
Boston may have made themselves more attractive with their Al Horford signing Saturday. The two sides agreed to a four-year, $113 million deal. However, ESPN reported that it would not be “an overriding factor.”
There’s a good chance Durant signs a two-year deal with an opt out option so he could take the free agent market by storm next season with Russell Westbrook and receive even more money than he wold get this year.
