The Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday placed right-handed pitcher Alex Colome on the 15-day disabled list. Colome is suffering from right biceps tendinitis. He’s retroactive to June 19.

Colome hasn’t pitched since June 18, which means he could return as soon as Monday. Manager Kevin Cash may have to use a closer by committee for the time being while Colome is on the mend.

Colome has recorded 19 saves for the Rays this season. He has a 1.76 ERA in 29 games.
