The Phoenix Suns traded for Marquese Chriss in the NBA Draft Thursday. The Sacramento Kings selected Chriss and traded him to Phoenix for Bogdan Bogdanovic, the No. 13 pick, the No. 28 pick and a 2020 second-round pick.

Suns coach Earl Watson raved about Chriss Friday and hopes he could bring a “wow factor” to the team immediately.

“When you see how much better he can get and not really playing at a high level for so long, it’s going to get you excited,” Watson told the Arizona Republic. “But it’s up to us to teach him, to be disciplined with him and understand the program is the program. He has to come and to work and he understands being professional.”

Chriss played one year at Washington. He averaged 13.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
