Orlando City SC returned to Florida Saturday night with a mission: to honor the victims of the Pulse Orlando nightclub attack that occurred just six days prior.

The MLS team halted their match against the San Jose Earthquakes at the 49th minute for a resounding moment of silence. Players stood side-by-side to pay their respects to those who were murdered in a senseless act of violence.

Fans roared when the minute passed.

In addition to the minute of silence, the team blocked off 50 seats in a section, tying down balloons in remembrance of those who were killed at Pulse Orlando and singer Christina Grimmie who was killed last Saturday while she was signing autographs for fans at The Plaza Live.

Rainbow flags were also displayed in the corners of the field.

Both teams also sported “Orlando United” patches on their jerseys.

The teams played to a 2-2 draw.
