The New York Knicks are interested in trading for Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose, sources told ESPN Friday. The Knicks reportedly have had “internal discussions about trading for Rose.”

The Bulls are interested in trading either Rose or Jimmy Butler and could deal any of them before the NBA Draft in a few weeks. Butler has been tied to the Minnesota Timberwolves in recent trade talks.

However, the Knicks don’t really have any pieces outside Carmelo Anthony or Kristaps Porzingis to work with. They don’t have a high draft pick either to dump to the Bulls for Rose.

Rose averaged 16.4 points and 4.7 assists per game, but is incredibly injury prone and has barely played over the last couple of seasons, despite being an MVP award winner.
