Los Angeles Rams quarterback Nick Foles skipped voluntary OTAs Wednesday and it wasn’t something coaches weren’t expecting to happen. Foles and the front office both know that his time in Los Angeles is going to end sooner than later and coach Jeff Fisher said both sides were “trying to work things out” in regards to him moving on from the team.
“As it was correctly reported this morning, he has not been here to participate in the offseason program since the draft,” Fisher said, per Pro Football Talk. “I’ve had conversations with Nick, we’re on the same page and we’re trying to work things out.”
The sooner the Rams move on from Foles the better — for both parties. Foles could try to latch onto a job with the New York Jets or Denver Broncos, while the Rams can really start to transition Jared Goff into a staring quarterback.
