Former Los Angeles Lakers head coach Byron Scott has been on a war path after he was dismissed from the organization at the end of April. Scott said he wished he would have changed his coaching style a bit.

Scott was saddled with having to guide young players. He told the Los Angeles Daily News Thursday that he wished he would have played his veteran players a bit more.

“If I knew this was coming, I would have played Lou (Williams), Brandon (Bass) and guys like that a whole lot more,” Scott said. “They gave me the best chance to win.” Scott totaled just 38 wins in two seasons with the Lakers.

Scott was in no position to win in Los Angeles. He was there to guide Kobe Bryant through his final days and maybe get the young guys a taste of what they would go through in the league. He was never really the right choice to lead the team and it showed throughout the entire season.
