USC Trojans quarterback Cody Kessler was selected by the Cleveland Browns in third round of the NFL Draft Friday night. Kessler wasn’t an overwhelmingly great quarterback, but will find a home in Cleveland where he could get a chance to play under Hue Jackson.
Kessler in his senior year threw for 3,536 yards and 29 touchdowns. The Trojans fell off the AP Top 25 over the course of the season. Kessler will probably backup Robert Griffin III in Cleveland, but with his health concerns Kessler might play a down or two over the course of his rookie season.
