It has been a very long time since the Los Angeles Dodgers have seen left-handed pitcher Hyun-jin Ryu take the mound. Ryu is working his way back and threw another bullpen session Tuesday.

According to the Associated Press, manager Dave Roberts said Ryu threw a 30-pitch bullpen session and will throw another session either Friday or Saturday. This is a good sign.

Ryu suffered a setback in his last bullpen session, but for him to get through this one is a huge sign. Ryu is working his way back from shoulder surgery last year. He hasn’t pitched since 2014.

The Dodgers could really use Ryu down the stretch. The team’s shaky April start is a bit concerning.
